After a struggle with breastfeeding, she happened to stumble across breast milk jewelry and instantly knew she wanted a piece for herself, but quickly discovered all of the pieces she liked were completely out of her price range. So, she decided she would do it herself. It took her a long time to perfect the process, but she refused to quit; she was determined to prove to herself that she could figure it out and make a completed piece. Once she did, her friends started asking her to make them their own unique pieces. She has recently celebrated her first year in business and has been nominated for two business awards. She started with her friends and through word of mouth, then spread locally and is now making pieces for clients as far away as Australia .
